The Art of Reading Financial Statements with AI

This training has been developed based on over a decade of LondonSAM’s experience, in collaboration with shared service centers and professionals from finance departments across various organizations. The workshops are designed for individuals interested in the creation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements, internal control, and controlling. Led by one of Poland’s top finance and accounting trainers, the training will demonstrate practical connections between key financial statements—the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement—and their everyday application. In this upcoming edition, we have incorporated elements of AI to enhance efficiency and prepare participants for evolving market demands.

Day 1: Financial Reporting Basics

  • IFRS vs. Polish Accounting Act, key US GAAP differences

  • Financial statements overview (balance sheet, income, cash flow, equity, notes)

  • Quick reading and analyzing statements (vertical/horizontal analysis)

  • Group consolidation fundamentals

  • Key financial terms (EBIT, EAT, EBITDA)

Day 2: Financial Analysis & AI Integration

  • Cash flow analysis and financial ratios (profitability, liquidity, efficiency, solvency)

  • Practical AI applications (ChatGPT, Copilot) in finance

  • Ethical AI use and common pitfalls

  • Auditor’s report insights and key audit matters

  • Summary discussion and practical takeaways
